Abstract

This research project is designed to investigate the impact of salary increase and fringe benefits on the performance of workers in the public or private sector with particular reference to S.T.B. Table Water Lokoja, Kogi State from the research carried out the following conclusion were drawn.

Statement of the study analyzed money should be looked upon as one of the instruments used. Method of data collection were the researcher used the questionnaire and personal interview.

Method of data analysis is used for testing of hypothesis, chi-square statistics for testing of the validity of the formulated hypothesis and using frequency distribution, table and percentages, findings is the summary of the work and recommendations.

If workers salaries are increase their level of performance will equally increase it should be noted that not only salary increase served as an incentive. Other things that can motivate workers to perform better include increase in leave bonus, provision of housing loans, increase in transport allowance.

The payment of the above will not only increases workers performance it will enhance their standard of living.
