ABSTRACT

This project was aimed at explaining the evaluation of management-labor relations and their effect on workers productivity in kogi state civil service.

A management-labor is a relation is a relationship between management and labour for increased productivity of labour, it requires the balancing of both in most times have conflicting objectives for labour, it is the achievement of highest price for member.

In an industrial relation environment there are some social expectations in relation to business social responsibilities and nature of the nations economy and the situation of the civil service in Kogi State administration , performance appraisal development , roles towards enhance of management-labour relations and their effect on worker productivity.

The following findings was made: that towards management-labour relations and their effect on workers productivity, leadership style has a role to play.

The work recommends that management should introduce end of year price award to the best workers to serve as motivation it is concluded that workers prefer open appraisal method of confidential method and this will surely increase their productivity.
