ABSTRACT
This research work emphasis on the impact of wages and salaries policies on the performance of government parastatals in Kogi state, using the Kogi state specialist hospital Lokoja as a case study and an attempt is made to cover all areas of wages and salaries which comprises of computation, reward pay structure, reward policies and job evaluation.
This research work state the impact of wages and salaries policies in order to improve performance in government parastatals in Kogi state, wages and salaries are one of the tangible form of compensation the structure for the salaries should be ensured so as to avoid unnecessary incentive strike.
The method adopted to collect data in this research work is questionnaire test was used to analyse the data and the test of hypotheses. This research conclude that wages and salaries policies has a good impact on the performance of government parastatal in Kogi state.
