                                                                           ABSTRACT
Monetary policy in Nigeria has been conducted under wide range economic environment since the establishment of Central Bank of Nigeria. The study examined the impact of monetary policy on economic growth/employment generation in Kogi State and Nigeria in general. The objectives of the study was achieved by the researcher through questionnaire and interview method used to gather the relevant data for the study. Opinions were gathered from the staffs of the Central Bank of Nigeria Lokoja Branch through the application of survey research method under the sample size. Questionnaire were structure and prescribed to the staffs and retrieved directly. Recommendation were made in the study based on the findings to promote the development of employment generation and stabilize financial activities in the economy.
